I braced myself for anger or tears.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1150\" data-end=\"1251\">Instead, she smiled. And every step forward carries my mother\u2019s sacrifice with it.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2381\" data-end=\"2469\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">I once blamed her for everything we lacked.
