So\u2026 I (34F) recently found out my husband (36M) was on a dating app. I wasn\u2019t snooping\u2014one of my friends matched with him and sent me screenshots. Instead of blowing up right away, I decided to play a little game.<\/p>\n

I made a fake profile using someone else\u2019s pictures (don\u2019t worry, I had permission\u2014she\u2019s a friend who was more than happy to help me pull this off). Within hours, guess who swiped right? Yep. My\u00a0husband.<\/em><\/p>\n

We started chatting, and honestly, I felt sick. He introduced himself as a \u201cdivorced man\u201d whose \u201cex-wife\u201d (me) had left him ages ago. He painted himself as this wholesome guy with no bad habits, just looking for love and a happy family. Reading his words made my blood boil.<\/p>\n

But I didn\u2019t let it show. I played along, sweet and flirty, and eventually \u201cI\u201d suggested we meet up. We agreed on a little night out of town, nothing too suspicious but far enough away that it would take effort. He was all in\u2014like a teenager planning a first date.<\/p>\n

Fast forward to the night of our \u201cdate.\u201d He told me he had been\u00a0urgently called into work<\/em>\u00a0and needed to leave. I smiled, told him to be safe, and let him walk right out the door. He thought he was being slick.<\/p>\n

Hours passed. At 5:00 AM, the front door slammed. He stumbled in, furious, exhausted, and reeking of cab fare. Turns out he\u2019d spent two hours traveling each way and dropped a small fortune just to sit alone in a strange town waiting for a woman who never showed up.<\/p>\n

He ranted about \u201cwomen wasting his time\u201d and \u201cfake profiles ruining everything.\u201d I just sat there calmly, sipping my coffee. Then I motioned toward the hallway\u2014where a packed suitcase was waiting by the door.<\/p>\n

\u201cFunny you should say that,\u201d I told him. \u201cBecause the fake profile you\u2019ve been whining about? That was me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The look on his face was priceless. Anger, shock, realization\u2014all mixed into one. I didn\u2019t yell. I didn\u2019t cry. I just told him straight:\u00a0We\u2019re done.<\/em>\u00a0Papers are already in the works.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s it. No dramatic screaming match. No second chances. Just the end of a marriage with a man who couldn\u2019t even respect me enough to be honest.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not asking for advice or sympathy\u2014I already know what I want. Divorce. Freedom. A fresh start.<\/p>\n
