In a striking visual moment, he moved across a stage designed like a sugarcane field while performing some of his biggest hits.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div data-type=\"_mgwidget\" data-widget-id=\"1703020\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>His rapid-fire delivery and signature Latin trap style thrilled many fans in attendance. However, some viewers who weren\u2019t familiar with Spanish or his musical approach said they struggled to follow along, sparking mixed reactions online.<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Among the critics was former President Donald Trump, who reportedly took issue with the performance. TRUMP.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump was not in attendance at this year\u2019s Super Bowl, after previously claiming that it was \u2018too far\u2019 for him to travel.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-256460 td-animation-stack-type0-2\" src=\"https:\/\/bunny-wp-pullzone-qbwibhia54.b-cdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Screenshot-2026-02-09-165546.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"615\" height=\"407\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the New York Post before the biggest game in the NFL calendar, the president made it clear that he did not like the politics of the artists playing at the Super Bowl, which included the vocally anti-ICE and anti-MAGA Green Day.<\/p>\n<p>Having previously claimed he\u2019d \u2018never heard\u2019 of Bad Bunny, Trump said: \u201cI\u2019m anti-them. I think it\u2019s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So perhaps it is unsurprising that Trump was not moved by the Puerto Rican singer\u2019s performance in a language spoken by over 40 million Americans and 600 million people around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Yet some of the less subtle messaging in the Latin-infused halftime show likely enraged the president further, with a billboard pointedly reading \u2018the only thing more powerful than hate is love\u2019 as the set came to close.<\/p>\n<p>The final shot of the historic halftime performance was Bad Bunny gripping a football while surrounded by Latin American performers.
